تحدث حازم إمام، عضو لجنة التخطيط بنادي الزمالك المصري، عن الأنباء التي راجت حول اعتزال قائد الفريق شيكابالا خلال الساعات الماضية، مؤكداً أن اللاعب يمتلك "جينات الزمالك" وأن استمراره مع الفريق أمر بالغ الأهمية في المرحلة المقبلة. وقال إمام: «شيكابالا قائد حقيقي ووجوده داخل الملعب ضروري جداً، والفريق في حاجة له خاصة في هذه الفترة الصعبة». وأشار إلى التحديات المالية التي يعاني منها الزمالك حاليًا، موضحًا أن النادي يمر بظروف مادية صعبة، خاصة مع الفجوة المالية الكبيرة التي أصبحت قائمة بين الزمالك والأهلي مؤخرًا. واختتم حازم إمام حديثه بالتأكيد على عدم إمكانية تفوق بيراميدز على الزمالك في المنافسة، رغم استمتاعه بمشاهدة مباريات الفريق المنافس، موضحًا: «من المستحيل أن يسحب بيراميدز البساط من الزمالك، وأنا أتابع مبارياتهم ولكن هذا لا يعني أنني أشجعهم».
