Argentine international defender Lisandro Martinez is set to become Manchester United's eighth Argentinean signing of the transfer window for the Reds after the English giants agreed on a deal with Ajax on Sunday. Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Argentine international defender Lisandro Martinez, subject to medical, to player terms being finalised, and to UK visa requirements," United said in a statement. Martinez moved to Ajax from Defensa y Justicia in his homeland, winning two Eredivisie titles and helping the Dutch champions reach the last 16 of the Champions League last season. Martinez is the eighth player from Argentina to join Manchester United, where the club started with Juan Veron, who played in the Red Devils shirt during the period from 2001 to 2003; he played 82 games with the team and scored 11 goals. Bayern Munich has come a long way in the last few years in terms of financial status and ability to attract star players. The Munich Bavarian club succeeded in signing many brilliant players during the current summer transfer period to support its ranks in the new season 2022-2023. Ibrahimovic signs new one-year deal with Milan 

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has put pen to paper on his new one-year contract with Milan. The 40-year-old Swedish forward is technically a free agent after his deal expired with the Rossoneri at the start of this month, but it quickly became clear that he’d stay for another year, despite the serious knee operation he underwent at the end of May. Di Marzio details how Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara visited Ibrahimovic at his villa on Lake Garda recently and secured his signature on the new one-year deal. The contract will see him earn a fixed salary of around €1-1.5m net per season, but attached are generous add-ons related to assists, goals and objectives. Ibrahimovic is hoping to return to action after the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, when the Serie A season will take a between November 14 and January 3.  Last season, the 40-year-old Swede scored eight goals and provided three assists in 23 league appearances.

Details of De Ligt's transfer to Bayern Munich

Dutch international Matthias de Ligt is close to completing his €80m move to Bayern Munich after they agreed on a deal with the Bianconeri Bayern Munich has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus to sign the center-back Matthijs de Ligt for a fee that could reach €80m. The Serie A club is guaranteed to receive €70m and the add-ons vary in how likely they are to be achieved. A deal was struck after a day of talks between the clubs and De Ligt, who has agreed to personal terms and is preparing to sign a contract for tfor2027. The Bundesliga club are prepared to pay an initial fee of €70 million (£59.4m/$70m) plus a further €10m in add-ons in order to get their target. According to a report from Toto Mercato, De Ligt is now set to sign a five-year contract with Bayern Munich with a net worth of around €10m per season plus bonuses, which is slightly less than the €11m salary he currently earns in Turin. The Bavarian giant secured a deal after agreeing to pay Juventus 70 million euros in fixed fees plus about 10 million euros in add-ons.The Dutch center-back will have his medical before the move this week and, if all goes as planned, will sign his five-year contract. During his three years in Turin, De Ligt made 117 appearances in all competitions for Juventus, helping the team win the Scudetto, the Italian Cup, and the Supercopa Italiana.

Chelsea makes an offer for PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe 

Chelsea FC has made an official £40m offer for Paris St Germain center-back Presnel Kimpembe and is back in talks with Sevilla over Jules Kounde, who is a target for Barcelona too. Thomas Tuchel is aiming to bolster his defense this summer and has turned his attention to the French center-back after securing the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.  At one point, Manchester City's Nathan Ake seemed to be Tuchel's favorite before it became clear that the Dutchman would stay at the Etihad. Now, the Blues appears to be choosing between signing Kimpembe or Jules Conde from Sevilla, and according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea has already made a £40m bid for the Paris player. Speaking last week, new PSG coach Christophe Galtier confirmed that he does not know if the France international will spend 2022-23 at the Parc des Princes.

Lewandowski joins Barcelona in Miami for US tour

Already wearing Barcelona’s colors, Polish star Robert Lewandowski joined the squad on Miami's pre-season tour in the USA on Sunday ahead of his medical and the signing of his contract with the Catalan club. Barca FC released footage of Lewandowski being welcomed into the club by his new teammates during the team dinner. Barcelona on Saturday reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to acquire the Poland striker in a deal expected to reach nearly 50 million euros ($50.5 million).Lewandowski, 33, is one of the most lethal marksmen in European football. A Polish international with 76 goals in 132 caps for his country, he scored 344 goals in 375 games with Bayern. The 33-year-old Lewandowski has been one of soccer’s most prolific scorers in the last decade and was voted as FIFA’s best player of the year in 2020 and 2021. He arrives to boost a Barcelona team that did not win any titles last season following the departure of Lionel Messi. Barcelona finished 13 points behind their great rivals Real Madrid in La Liga last season and ended the campaign trophy-less, while Xavi Hernandez is expected to change this gap image in the new season.

The Argentine star Paulo Dybala saga has seemingly come to a conclusion, with reliable reports suggesting that the former Juventus man has agreed to join Roma in a free transfer deal, after a decisive move last night. The deal is thought to be completed between the Italian club and the entourage of the player, with pacey developments in recent hours leading Dybala to accept the offer proposed by the Roman club. Is Ronaldo re-joining Sporting Lisbon? Man United star gives response

Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to rumors linking him to a return to his first club, Sporting Lisbon, in his native Portugal. Reports from Portugal had recently suggested that Sporting Lisbon were exploring the possibility of re-signing Manchester United icon Cristiano Ronaldo on a loan deal this summer. Sporting Lisbon is one of a number of clubs said to be a potential destination for Ronaldo, who has reportedly expressed his desire to leave Manchester United this summer.  Ronaldo spent time at his boyhood club in the 2002-03 season, scoring five goals in 31 appearances before moving to England on his first spell with the Red Devils. Rumors began circulating online that the 37-year-old might return to the Portuguese club this summer after a picture of him spread near his club's stadium, and was published by Portuguese media. But the Portuguese international denied these rumors by commenting under the post: "Incorrect." Despite the response, speculation continues about Ronaldo's future, with the veteran currently training at home after being given permission to miss United's pre-season tour due to a family issue.

Napoli takes Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa on loan to save Ospina's departure

In search of a starting goalkeeper after the departure of the Colombian David Ospina who has joined the Saudi club Al-Nassr, Italian Napoli has inquired with Chelsea for their replacement goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to The MARCA Sport. The Spain international is not wanted at Stamford Bridge, as Edward Mendy was the undisputed number one for coach Thomas Tuchel. A recent report from the Spanish newspaper "Marca" confirmed that Kepa is seeking a chance for a few minutes in the next season, before the World Cup in Qatar, and among the best options on the table will be his loan for a season to Napoli. Napoli witnessed the departure of their first goalkeeper, David Ospina, to the Saudi Al-Nasr FC, and he is likely to be in the Mercato for a new goalkeeper. Italy international Alex Merritt is Napoli's current No. 1 ahead of the new season, but recent reports suggest he is keen to understand his place in coach Luciano Spalletti's plans amid the Turin interest. Kepa has made just 29 appearances in all competitions since Mendy arrived at Chelsea in 2020. Kepa remains the most expensive goalkeeper in the world to date, having joined Chelsea for 80 million euros and played 11 caps for Spain.
