Sterling or Dembele... Who is a higher priority target to sign at Chelsea?
UK media reports revealed that Chelsea FC has been linked with blockbuster transfers for Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele this summer. Chelsea is keener on Raheem Sterling than Ousmane Dembele, according to reports from England press as Sterling claims the club is more focused on the Man City winger – who has one year of contract left – than on Dembele, who is without a club, albeit with a deal on the table to stay at Barcelona. Dembele recently hinted that he could stay with Barcelona, while Barca Manager Xavi allegedly urged the club's Board to make a last-ditch effort to keep Dembele. Chelsea alongside Paris Saint-Germain have been closely linked with the France international over the past few weeks, and it appears that the player is preparing to exit the Camp Nou as a free player. The report claims that Chelsea was "surprised by the French player's demands given his injury problems over the past few seasons. Dembele allegedly looking for a big salary and entry fee told the Blues during contract talks that he wanted guarantees over playing time at the club. Dembele has scored 32 goals and registered 34 assists in 149 appearances for Barcelona since joining the Catalan giants from Borussia Dortmund in August 2017.
