Ajax announces Erik ten Hag's replacement 

Ajax named on Wednesday Alfred Schreuder as their new coach to replace Erik ten Hag who will take charge of Manchester United next season, the club announced on Thursday. Alfred Schroeder signed a contract for two seasons with the option to add a third season, to continue with the team until 2024, to replace coach Ten Hag, who left to train Manchester United. Schroeder returns as the first man on the technical staff of Ajax, after he worked as an assistant for Ten Hag from January 2018 until the summer of 2019, to contribute to the team's arrival in the Champions League semi-finals. Schroeder joins Ajax from Club Brugge, where he won the Belgian league last season. Schroeder also worked as an assistant to former Ajax coach Ronald Koeman. The new manager said: "Becoming head coach at Ajax is an honor and a great opportunity for me. I am keen to seize it. I would like to win titles in Amsterdam with a team that plays attractive football. With a good balance between experienced top players and many great talents."

Lenglet is likely to be the first to exit Barcelona 

The Spanish FC Barcelona is seeking to part away with several players during the current summer transfer period due to the economic crisis that the Catalan club is suffering in the recent period. The Catalan newspaper, “Sport”, stated that Clement Lenglet is likely to be the first to leave Barcelona in Operation Exit in the current period after he received several suitable offers to exit the Camp Nou. The newspaper added that there is an offer that suits Lenglet and can be granted approval soon; explaining that Tottenham and Marseille target to sign him, but his salary seems to be a hindrance. The newspaper pointed out that in the Italian league; there are Milan, Juventus, and Inter interested in contracting with Lenglet as well. The Catalan newspaper, “Sport” pointed out that Lenglet could leave Barcelona on loan with a non-compulsory purchase option, indicating that the player is convinced that he will quit very soon.

Eriksen rejects Man United in favour of Tottenham or Brentford 

UK press reports revealed that Manchester United has been 'rejected' by Denmark star Christian Eriksen, who would prefer to stay in London with Brentford or Tottenham, or back to Tottenham. The British newspaper, (The Sun) reported that Christian Eriksen has opted to reject Manchester United this summer, with the Dane preferring a move to Tottenham or remaining at Brentford this summer. He is out of contract at the end of the month. Brentford boss Thomas Frank spoke about whether he could keep Christian Eriksen: "I don't know. I know we still have a chance and I hope he makes a decision in a couple of weeks. The agreement is he'll call me and tell me what he wants to do. He hasn't decided yet".

Sadio Mane undergoes medical checks to sign for Bayern Munich

Senegalese and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane reportedly arrived in Germany on Tuesday in order to undergo medical checks and sign for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich during the current summer Mercato. Bayern Munich had succeeded in resolving the Liverpool forward Sadio Mane deal, after reaching a final agreement with the Reds to sign the 30-year-old player, in a deal worth 42.5 million euros. The Senegalese forward is undergoing routine medical examinations on Tuesday and is expected to sign a three-year contract and hold his first Bayern press conference Wednesday. Sadio Mane would become the club’s third most expensive signing after Ryan Gravenberg and Moroccan Nassir Mazraoui from Ajax Amsterdam.

Man United on the first transfer deal of the summer with Antony from Ajax 

UK media reports revealed that Manchester United is closing in on their first major signing of the summer with Antony on his way from Ajax in a £40million move. According to Sun Sport newspaper, United officials are due in Amsterdam today to get a deal for the Brazilian over the line. The winger, 22, had an outstanding last season making Erik ten Hag insist on his former player to start his rebuild at Old Trafford to make United competitive again at the top end of the Premier League. Manchester United is seeking to re-build its team, as part of the club's plan to strengthen its ranks during the upcoming summer. Bayern Munich set a condition in order to start negotiating the departure of its Polish star Robert Lewandowski, the best player in the world in 2021, during the current summer transfer market, after the player expressed his desire to exit. The Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, reported that Bayern Munich made it more difficult for Barcelona to sign Lewandowski this summer, as Barcelona is reportedly preparing a €50 million offer to sign Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski. The newspaper added that the required offer from the Bavarian giant will be difficult for Barcelona to respond, to due to the financial crisis that the club is going through, in addition to the advanced age of the Polish star. FC Barcelona's Temporary Move to Olympic Stadium during Camp Nou Renovation 

Barcelona President Joan Laporta confirmed on Tuesday that his team will play the 2023-2024 season at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium, during the renovations that will take place at the Camp Nou stadium. Laporta said in a press conference held today said: “Barcelona will play the 2023-24 season at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic due to the planned renovation of the Nou Camp despite the start of renovations." He added, "We will make modifications to our new stadium, Montjuïc, which will cost the club between 15 and 20 million euros."He continued, "There will be a new mobility plan, the promotion of public transport and the funicular service. We want the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium to be the main center for Barcelona fans during the 2023/2024 season." "Barcelona is committed to adapting the Olympic facilities and modernizing services and auxiliary spaces such as the press stand, changing rooms, and indoor parking area," he concluded.
