  Italian press reports indicated that Milan is ready to extend Olivier Giroud’s contract as the Frenchman continues to prove himself invaluable to the club. The 36-year-old French forward joined the club in a deal worth around €1m from Chelsea last summer, adding another experienced veteran to the Rossoneri’s frontline alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.  Giroud scored 11 goals in 29 games last season to help Milan win the league title, and this season he scored many goals, scoring nine goals in 18 in all competitions.
