RB Leipzig names Marco Rose as new  head coach for two seasons

The German RB Leipzig has appointed on Thursday former Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach tactician Marco Rose as their new coach following the dismissal of Domenico Tedesco. RB Leipzig named Marco Rose as new head coach a day after sacking Domenico Tedesco; with the Bundesliga club sitting 11th in the league having won just one of its first five league games of the season. Marco Rose will be officially at a press conference presentation this Thursday afternoon and will lead his first training session after his presentation to the media. The German club had an official statement on Wednesday, saying: "RB Leipzig have announced that Domenico Tedesco has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect following Tuesday's 1-4 defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. Assistant coaches Andreas Hinkel and Max Urwantschky have also left the club. RB Leipzig will announce his successor in due course."

Zidane and Pochettino are the top candidates to replace Tuchel as Chelsea manager

The Blues are on the lookout for a new head coach, after the dismissal of German coach Thomas Tuchel from his position today, Wednesday. But who will Zidane or Pochettino pick for his first managerial appointment? Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup, and Club World Cup in his time here.” Mauricio Pochettino, former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and former German coach Joachim Low lead the favorites to replace Tuchel, with Brighton manager Graham Potter, and Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers also rumored to be in the frame. A statement from the club read: “As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition." "Chelsea's coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and the preparation of our upcoming matches as the Club moves swiftly to appoint a new head coach. Chelsea on Wednesday announced that they have part ways with manager Thomas Tuchel. The announcement comes after Chelsea's shock 0-1 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Tuesday. Under Tuchel, Chelsea won the Champions League in 2021, after beating Premier League rivals Manchester City in the final. Chelsea sits sixth in the Premier League table after six matchdays, with three wins, one draw and two defeats. During his time at the club, Tuchel won three trophies, including the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup. The English club issued a statement today, saying: "On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club. Hazard scores his first European goal in 650 days in the Champions League

Eden Hazard Real Madrid's winger came off the bench for Real Madrid to score his first European goal in 650 days after he scored a goal in a 3-0 victory over Celtic in the first round of the Champions’ League group stage of the current season. Luka Modric, the Croatian star and Real Madrid's playmaker, has made his 100th Champions League appearance for Real Madrid in Glasgow against Celtic. PSG beat Juventus in the UEFA Champions League, Mbappe the star of the show

Kylian Mbappe produced two lethal first-half finishes as Paris Saint-Germain got their latest bid for Champions League success off to a winning start on Tuesday by beating Juventus 2-1 at the Parc des Princes, the stronghold of the Parisian team, in the first round of the Champions’ League group stage for the current season 2022-2023.  Mbappe's two goals were stunning, the first coming after an outrageous scooped assist by Neymar inside five minutes and the second at the end of a superb move midway through the first half. Mbappe, at 23 years and 260 days, became the youngest player to score 35 goals in the Champions League, breaking the record held by Lionel Messi at the age of 23 years and 307 days. Weston McKinney scored Juventus' goal against PSG in the 53rd minute of the match.
