Ancelotti: Confident of Real Madrid's chances of defending the Champions League title

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is optimistic about the Spanish Real Madrid's chances of defending the Champions League title and the players' readiness to face Celtic, to be held on Tuesday evening, in the first round of the group stage of the Champions League, saying that all bookmakers have not picked them among the top-four favorites.
Ancelotti said in his comments about the match, "We will play a difficult match against a good opponent. They have a good dynamic. They play with great intensity, press and attack. We are ready for this match and we are looking forward to it." He added: “Now we are only thinking about the group stage. We don’t know what will happen after the World Cup. Real Madrid is a respectable team and will remain so. The history of the club takes care of that. We are ready to defend our title in the best possible way.”
He continued, “I think we will not have problems until the World Cup. The uncertainty is how the players will return after that and I hope that things will go well. The World Cup will make things complicated, but after this tournament is over we will see how our players will be physical.”
He added: “Celtic will not change their style of play tomorrow. They will play offensive football, but we are not worried about our defense. We play offensive football as well, so this match will be difficult and fun at the same time.”
He pointed out: “We will compete to the end, as always, and we do not care about such opinions because the history of this tournament for the club speaks for itself. We hope to play in the final again.”
