The all clubs qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Champions League was completed, after the Egyptian Al-Ahly club sends its name to the Champions League quarter-finals with a tough victory over Sudan’s Al Hilal in the group stages has sent title holders Al-Ahly to the CAF Champions League quarter-finals on Sunday, in the sixth and final round of the first group. Al-Ahly qualified for the quarter-finals and runners-up to the first group with 10 points, behind the leaders, the South African team Sun Downs with 16 points in the lead. The win now secured Al Ahly’s second place in Group A with 10 points and they will face one of Raja Casablanca, Espérance de Tunis, or Wydad Casablanca in the quarter-finals. The teams qualified for the CAF quarter-finals League are as follows: Mamelodi Sundowns & Al-Ahly (Group A), Raja Sportive, ES Setif (Group B), Esperance of Tunisia, CR Belouizdad (Group C), Wydad, Petro de Luanda (Group D). The draw for the quarter-finals will take place on Tuesday, 5 April 2022 at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, set to begin at 15:00 SA time.

Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal on Sunday revealed he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, but he still plans to lead his team at the World Cup in Qatar in seven months' time. Van Gaal, 70, says I keep my news from the players during the recent international break. Speaking to Dutch broadcaster Humberto, the 70-year-old told RTL television, :”The players "don't know it",  adding that he has revealed that he had not told his players about his diagnosis during the recent international break, as he has already undergone 25 bouts of radiotherapy, including in the evening during training camps with the Dutch team. "For each period during my time as manager of di national team I do not get to leave for night to go to hospital without di players finding it out until now. While thinking I am in good healthy, but.. do not be so."

Led by Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain spark out beaten Lorient 5-1 to maintain its 12-point lead over Marseille. PSG stunned their counterpart Lorient at home on Sunday in the Parc des Princes in the 30th round of the French League and thus to edge closer to the Ligue 1 title. Neymar led PSG with first goal in the 12th  minute, while Mbappe also found the net scored the second goal in the 28th minute of the match, ending the first half 2-0.  In the second half, PSG scored 3 goals with Mbappe's in the 67th minute, Messi in the 73rd minute and Neymar in the 90th minute, and Lorient scored a goal in the 56th minute.  Mbappe scored twice and provided three assists as Paris St-Germain kept their 12-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 with victory over lowly Lorient. Mbappe coolly drilled home in the first half and took his tally to 17 for the season with a rasping finish, before laying off for Lionel Messi's goal.

Inter Milan picked up a vital, 1-0, victory over Juventus in an exciting Italian derby at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday at the top of the 31st round of Serie A. The win marks a huge turning point for the Scudetto race in Serie A. Turkish star Hakanoglu scored Inter Milan's only goal in the fifth minute of the added-time in the first half with a controversial penalty kick. The referee re-executed the kick for the second time as Juventus goalkeeper Szczesny saved the first kick. The home side were furious at the awarding of the spot kick, but felt justice was done when Wojciech Szczesny saved Hakan Calhanoglu's penalty, only for the referee to order a retake, which the Turkish midfielder converted to give Inter the lead.

Barcelona managed to take over the 2nd spot in La Liga extended their winning streak in the league thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sevilla at Camp Nou. Barca managed to achieve a decisive victory over its guest Seville 1-0 in the 30th round of the Spanish League La Liga at "Camp Nou". Barcelona's teenage sensation Pedri scored a magnificent goal in the second half in the 72nd minute of the match to secure a difficult win over fading Sevilla on Sunday as it climbed above its opponent into second spot in La Liga after extending its winning streak to six games. Pedri created space for himself and fired a stunning shot into the bottom corner through a powerful shot that hit the goalkeeper Yassin Bono and gift Barcelona the lead.

PSG has reportedly offered a new ‘mega-deal’ to forward Kylian Mbappe to convince him to stay past this summer according to  latest Parian report. PSG is trying to offer  Mbappe various ways to renew his contract, which expires at the end of this season, but so far he rejected all the offers he received from the club's management to sign a new contract.  According to the French newspaper, L'Equipe, PSG will resort to a new mega offer in order to persuade Mbappe to renew his contract before the end of the summer, and to dissuade him from joining of Real Madrid. The newspaper pointed out that the idea of PSG’s officials will clash with the current Brazilian captain Marquinhos, who has been leading the team since the departure of his compatriot Thiago Silva in 2020 after the end of his contract with the club

The match between Senegal and the Netherlands will be the opening match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. FIFA announced the schedules of the World Cup matches: Senegal and the Netherlands will play the opening match, according to the official tournament schedule approved by FIFA. Qatar and Ecuador will move to central time, which is why the host will not play the first match of the event. The match between Africans and Europeans will be played at 13.00 local time (07.00 in Argentina) at Al Thumama Stadium
