Member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, Ihab El-Komy, confirmed that the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz, the former coach of the Egyptian national team, waived a penalty clause in his contract estimated at a value of 18 million pounds, The value of the penalty clause in the contract, which expires on December 31 next. Ihab El-Komy continued:“The Egyptian Football Association's President Gamal Allam held launched a Zoom Meeting with the Portuguese Queiroz via the “Zoom” program, due the latter’s presence in Portugal, before the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Federation, and the two parties agreed to terminate the contract. The Football Association announced the departure of Carlos Queiroz from coaching the Egyptian national team by mutual consent between the two parties.

FIFA has revealed the monetary rewards that the teams participating in the upcoming World Cup 2022 tournament will receive. The set financial prizes amount to $488 million. The winner is set to receive $42 million will be distributed among the 32 participating teams after the end of the year, whilst the runner-up will receive $30 million. Additionally, $27 million is reserved for third place and $25 million will be allocated to the fourth place winners. There are 32 teams participating in the tournament, which is more teams than any other World Cup. Each team will be earning an extra few million at any stage of the competition. In order to spend from it on the technical preparation program for the tournament by one and a half million dollars for each team, and it was clarified through the figures that the increase amounted to 8% for the incentives allocated by FIFA to the teams participating in the 22nd edition of the World Cup in Qatar.

Qatar's bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2022™ included 12 stadiums as per FIFA's requirements, while these friendly matches will be held in the official training sites of each team.

Barcelona's extended their winning streak to seven games in La Liga after Luuk De Jong came off the bench to net a stunning late winner away as Xavi Hernandez's side edged Levante in a 3-2 classic on Sunday at the Ciutat de Valencia, in the 31st round of the Spanish League.José Luis Morales put Levante ahead by converting a penalty kick in the 52nd after a foul by Dani Alves. Barcelona equalized the score in the 59th minute through Per-Americ Aubameyang, before Pedri added the second goal in the 63rd minute. The match referee awarded a third penalty kick for Levante in the 83rd minute, for Gonzalo Millero to advance to implement it, and successfully pay it to the right of goalkeeper Ter Stegen. Luke de Jong scored the third goal for Barcelona in the deadly time with the 90 + 2 minute. With that result, Barcelona raised its score to 60 points to raise to the rank of the Spanish League standings, while Levante reached 22 points in 19th place. Italian press reports revealed that the Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé has reportedly decided his future at the end of his contract next June, as he wants to join the ranks of Real Madrid, starting from next season.
