Tembah Report:  27 scores in the First Round of AFC Champions League Group Stage

The first round of the AFC Champions League 2022™ (West) Group Stage witnessed 27 goals were scored over the five Group matches currently being held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, according to the  AFC Assembly Figure Rally System.
AFC Group A , which includes Qatar's Al Rayyan, Saudi Al-Hilal, UAE's Sharjah, and Tajikistan's Esteghlal, is the top scorer in the current Championship with 8 goals scored until now. Qatar's Al Rayyan FC defeated FC Istiklol of Tajikistan 3-2 in a thrilling AFC Champions League™ 2022 Group A tie, while Sharjah were beaten by defending champions Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia 2-1.
Group C is considered the weakest scoring, which saw only two goals scored, as Debutants Ahal FC from Turkmenistan secured their first point in a dramatic 1-1 draw against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in their Group C, while the meeting of Qatar's Al Gharafa began its career in the third group of the group stage of the AFC Champions League, with a 0-0 draw with Iran's Foulath.
While Group D was celebrated with 7 goals, when  the Islamic Republic of Iran's Sepahan FC came back from a 1-0 first half deficit to beat Uzbek Super League champions Pakhtakor FC over Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor 3-1, the first football team of Al-Taawon Club continued its superiority over Al-Duhail, Qatar 2-1 and achieved a new victory in the 2022 AFC. The second group scored 6 goals, where the India's Mumbai City FC lost their opening match of the AFC Champions League 2021-22 against Saudi Arabia's Al Shabab by a 3-0 scoreline. As Air Force Club of Iraq edged UAE's Al Jazira 2-1 in their opening AFC Champions League™ 2022 Group B ties.
As for Group E, they scored only 4 goals, after Nine-man Al Sadd held on for a 1-1 draw against Uzbekistan's FC Nasaf in the opening match of Group E of the AFC, and  the Saudi Arabia's Al-Faisaly tied with Jordan's Al-Wehdat 1-1 on Friday evening in the first round of Group E of the AFC Champions League.
