French press reports said that there is an expected change in UEFA's plan for a revamped Champions League starting from 2024. The European Super combines the Champions League and European League champions, as usual, but UEFA has another proposal. According to the French newspaper, L'Equipe, as of 2024, the European Super Cup will not be between the winners of the European League and the Champions League, where the European Conference champion will also participate in the competition for the Super Championship. The decision and how the conference league champion will participate will be announced soon via an official statement from the European Football Association. The UEFA Super Cup was in principle contested over two legs from 1973 and saw the winner of the Cup Winners' Cup participate until 1999 when the European Union officially canceled the tournament. Real Madrid FC, the champions of the European Champions League, will face Eintracht Frankfurt, the German champions of the European League in the next edition.

  Poland lost to Belgium 0:1 in the UEFA Nations League match held in Warsaw. In the second half, Thomas Muller scored Germany's third goal, before Timo Werner added the fourth and fifth goals, in less than two minutes 68 and 69. Wilfried Tonto scored Italy's first goal in the 78th minute before Alessandro Bastoni scored the second goal for the Azzurri in the 90th minute of the match. Now Germany raised its score to 6 points in the group rank behind Hungary, the top in the standings with 7 points, while Italy froze its balance at 5 points, as finally England with two points at the bottom.

England fell to a humiliating  4-0 defeat by Hungary - their worst at home since 1928 - to end a miserable set of Nations League fixtures on a new low and pile pressure on Gareth Southgate in the fourth round of Group C in the European Nations League at the Clement Turpan stadium.
