New decisions by FIFA regarding Ukraine's FA request for their World Cup semi-final play-off

On Tuesday, FIFA officially announced the Scotland’s World Cup play-off against Ukraine has been postponed and rescheduled for June. The match, which was due to be played at Hampden Park on March 24, has been delayed for three months following the Russian wars against Ukraine.
Announcing the move, FIFA said: “On March 3 2022, the Ukrainian Association of Football wrote to FIFA requesting that its qualification match (es) be rescheduled owing to the impossibility of organizing both the travel and training of a team under the current circumstances.
FIFA also decided to postpone the match between the winners from Scotland against Ukraine and Wales against Austria to June as well. FIFA announced the qualification of Poland to the final of the European qualifying play-off for the 2022 World Cup, after an official decision earlier to exclude the participation of Russian teams and clubs in official competitions, and therefore will face the winner of Sweden and the Czech Republic on March 29
