UEFA president: Changes to the Champions League format , disagree over plans to stage the World Cup every two years

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin confirmed that they are considering holding the semi-finals, the final match in the European Champions League, through a combined tournament in one place, in the coming years.
Ceferin said: We have not yet discussed the matter in a concrete manner because of the epidemic, which forced us to adapt to the new situation, but I think it is a great idea. Some presidents have welcomed the issue, including Nasser Al-Khulaifi, and they agree.
Regarding the idea of holding the World Cup every two years, the UEFA president said: “I am sure that this will not happen because it is complete nonsense, a failed project that would destroy football and contradict the foundations of the game. It's a burden to play a tournament for a month every summer, it will hurt women's football as well, and I'm sure the fans, the authorities, the governments and everyone rejected that idea."
He also spoke about the idea of the European Super League, saying: “I am still shocked that people who have been playing football for years are ready to destroy it overnight for their own interests, the matter will not happen at least in the next ten years, no one wants This tournament except for the few who think football is about money."
