Yamal's best goal in the 2025 Champions League

UEFA's Technical Committee has selected a goal scored by Barcelona striker Lamine Yamal against Inter Milan as the best goal of the 2024-25 Champions League season. The Barcelona striker won the award, beating Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice. Barcelona were trailing 2-0 in the first leg when Yamal received the ball on the right, dribbled past an Inter player, and then cut inside and fired a superb shot into the far corner. The match ended in a 3-3 draw, but Barcelona were eliminated after a 4-3 defeat in the second leg in Milan. Martinez's goal against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the quarter-finals came in second place, as the Argentine striker received a pass from Marcus Thuram and fired a powerful shot into the net. The Technical Committee also chose Rice's second goal, a free kick scored by Rice against Real Madrid in the first leg of the quarter-finals, in third place.
