Saudi Arabia decides on alcoholic beverages in 2034 World Cup

Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United Kingdom, confirmed that Saudi authorities will not allow alcohol consumption during the 2034 World Cup. This came in a media interview he conducted on Wednesday with LBC TV, where he stressed that local laws will be applied during the global tournament. Saudi Arabia is the third Arab country to host the World Cup after Qatar 2022 and Morocco, which will co-host the 2030 edition alongside Spain and Portugal. The 2034 edition will also witness a historic event, as it will be the first World Cup to be organized in one country with the participation of 48 teams, after the 2026 World Cup was held in three countries: the United States, Canada and Mexico. This decision confirms Saudi Arabia's commitment to preserving its local laws and culture, while providing an exceptional experience for fans from all over the world.
