The date of the 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia has been changed

Press reports revealed that the 2034 World Cup will witness a change in its date, similar to what happened in the Qatar 2022 version. The British newspaper "The Sun" reported that the tournament will be held in January 2034 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ten months earlier than usual, after Qatar hosted the 2022 World Cup in November and December. The newspaper stated that Saudi Arabia's decision to hold the tournament in January was in order to avoid playing during the holy month of Ramadan. The newspaper explained that representatives of the 211 member federations of FIFA will confirm the host country for the World Cup in 2030 and 2034 during the Congress conference to be held next week. It added that the 2030 World Cup finals will be held mainly in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, in addition to the opening matches that will be held in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
