SC Volunteers look forward to deliver successful FIFA Arab Cup

Volunteers of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy are preparing to deliver successful FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™️, after their contribution to the successful organization of the Al Thumama Stadium inauguration last month.
More than 800 volunteers from 49 nationalities from five continents participated in the stadium's inauguration, providing support in many operational aspects including fan ticket delivery, fan services management, and support for media representatives. 
This step came within the framework of preparing to organize the upcoming sporting events, the first of which is the Arab Cup, which will start at the end of this month, and to provide volunteers with more experience, leading to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
For her part, Rasha Al Qarni, the SC's Human Resources Executive Director praised the efforts of the volunteers who worked hard and played an active role in the inauguration of Al Thumama Stadium.” I would like to thank them all for their work and commitment to perform the tasks entrusted to them with high efficiency.”
Al-Qarni expressed her aspiration for more volunteers to participate in the upcoming sporting events, especially the Arab Cup, which will witness the participation of nearly five thousand volunteers. As we continue to prepare to host the World Cup in about one year from now." 
(Qatar2022.qa) website held a meeting with four of the volunteer team during the opening of Al Thumama Stadium, to talk about the experience of participating in organizing the event, and the values of volunteering and community participation.
Habib Khalfan from Qatar said: “Volunteering enhances self-confidence The volunteer team included 35-year-old Qatari national Habib Khalfan, who works as an employee in a local bank and provided support to the media team during the Emir Cup final, including photography assignments. Khalfan spoke about the benefits of volunteering and the positive effects that accrue to the individual from participating in such events, and said: "I learned a lot from the volunteering experience with the Higher Committee team, and achieved many benefits, the most important of which is enhancing self-confidence and self-esteem. I urge everyone to go through this wonderful experience, which allows the acquisition of many cognitive and practical skills, and the refinement of experiences and capabilities in many areas.”
He added: "I am overwhelmed with feelings of pride that Qatar will be the first country in the region to host the World Cup. I am happy to participate as a volunteer in the sporting events and events that precede the start of the tournament, and to have the honor of contributing to the organization of the 2022 World Cup, which is a unique opportunity and a great honor for me." 
Irene from Greece pointed out that volunteering improves interpersonal skills Greek Irene Theodoropoulou, 39, who has lived in Qatar for 11 years, took the task of guiding fans to their seats and answering their questions and inquiries during the inauguration of the new stadium. Irene, who is a professor of linguistics at Qatar University, expressed her admiration for the design of Al Thumama Stadium, and confirmed her desire to participate in this historic achievement since Qatar won the right to host the World Cup, noting that it is an exceptional opportunity that may not be repeated for many volunteers.
Regarding the volunteering with the SC team, Irene confirmed that this experience added a lot to her, pointing to the many benefits on the personal and social levels, including the formation of friendships and constructive relationships. She described volunteering in organizing the opening of the stadium and attending the first match on its land as a rich experience that brought her many benefits. She said: "Volunteering provides the opportunity to meet with people of different nationalities, which enhances communication skills with others, flexibility and adaptability to different work environments, as we as volunteers must be patient and able to deal with all circumstances." Irene noted that volunteer work contributes to refining experiences and adding more information and experiences to the volunteers' stock of knowledge, as it constitutes a valuable experience away from the daily routine of life. Belvin Thomas from India said that volunteering revealed to me the tremendous work behind organizing every match. Belvin Benny Thomas, 19, moved with his family to Qatar at the age of two years, and he helped fans scan the fan card code upon entering the stadium, and stressed that the focus of volunteer work is building relationships, as well as learning skills, and engaging in more activities. Experiences that enrich knowledge. Belvin said: "I consider meeting new people in every event I participate in as one of the most prominent advantages offered by volunteering, in addition to the rich experiences I get, which contribute to building and developing my personality." Belvin spoke about his attachment to football and the role of volunteering in enhancing his passion for this sport and urged young people to volunteer in sporting events, which enhance their skills and enable them to effectively contribute to community service.
He added: "I constantly follow football matches, because it is my favorite sport. We usually watch the match on the stadium grounds without knowing what is going on behind the scenes, but now we get to see all the details and realize the huge amount of work behind organizing each match."
Belvin concluded by inviting everyone to join the Higher Committee’s volunteer program, which provides an amazing experience that reflects on many aspects of life, and working in a team is a great opportunity to learn, collaborate and celebrate achievement with everyone.
Hamad Ali from Qatar explained that ‘volunteering gave me the opportunity to return the favor to my country, which has given us so much”.
On his part, Qatari volunteer Hamad Mohammed Ali, 25 years, who was part of the fan services team at the stadium inauguration, stressed his pride in participating in the important event, pointing out the importance of volunteering in enhancing a sense of belonging and refining and developing personality. Hamad, a student at the College of Law at Lusail University, added: “I was very happy to participate in organizing the opening of Al Thumama Stadium, which gives us all feelings of pride and pride, as it celebrates our ancient traditions that we preserve from one generation to the next. Through the volunteering experience, I realized the importance of allocating a part of the It is my time to contribute to community service and to return part of the favor to my country, which has given and continues to give us a lot.” Hamad explained that this exceptional experience allowed him to learn new skills, pointing to the importance of volunteering in developing human relations and acquiring new skills, calling on young people to join the ranks of volunteers in upcoming sporting events.
Hamad concluded: "Through volunteering, I was able to build new relationships with people of different nationalities and cultures, as well as learn a lot of skills, especially at the organizational level. It is noteworthy that the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy launched the volunteering program in 2018, and has so far received more than 390,000 volunteer applications from around the world, on the way to preparing to host the first edition of the Football World Cup in the Arab world and the Middle East.
