FIFA launches the Countdown to FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021

FIFA has launched the 30-day countdown for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, which will bring Arab world’s best teams together in Qatar, which will be hosted by our World Cup stadiums.16 teams will participate in the eagerly-awaited tournament to be held from November 30 to December 18, 2021. 
On this occasion, FIFA published a report on its website indicating that the upcoming tournament represents an opportunity for participants and fans to discover the wonderful atmosphere and stadiums that will host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™️ matches.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy is currently putting the finishing touches to preparations to organize an ideal tournament, which will be an important test rehearsal for the 2022 World Cup. The matches will be held at six of the eight World Cup venues including Al Bayt, Al Janoub, Ras Abu Aboud, Al Thumama, Education City and Ahmed bin Ali stadiums.
This prestigious regional championship returns to the fore again after a long hiatus that lasted 9 years. The last Arab Cup was held in Saudi Arabia in 2012, in which Morocco became champions after beating Libya 3-1 on penalties in the final match, after the original and extra time ended in a negative 11 draw, for the team to score Moroccan first title in its history.
Qatar has hosted major sporting events in the world in all sports, to present an exemplary and distinguished Arab Cup, as Qatar possesses the most modern sports facilities in the world and the capabilities that made it the mecca of international sports many years ago.
Qatar was famous for its distinguished international organization in hosting many of the tournaments and events it hosted, which were praised by all athletes, visitors and sports officials in the world.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed that the FIFA Council's approval of FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 was among the events that the State of Qatar would organize in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The best 9 teams based on the FIFA World Ranking for the month of December 2021 participate in the tournament, which qualified directly for the group stage, while the remaining 14 teams played in the preliminary round, and 7 of them qualified for the group stage, and the group stage draw was held on April 27, 2021 in Dar Katara Opera, Doha.

Teams have been divided into four groups, with top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals. 
Group A of the FIFA Arab Cup consists of Qatar, Iraq, Oman and Bahrain. Group B consists of Tunisia, UAE, Syria and Mauritania. Group C consists of Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Palestine. Group D will include Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon and Sudan.
