Disastrous numbers for Haaland after losing by five goals

Manchester City star Erling Haaland endured a nightmare for Norway as they were thrashed 5-1 by Austria in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday. The Manchester City star failed to register a single shot on target and lost possession eight times as the Norwegians suffered a humiliating defeat. Haaland had a passing accuracy of just 59 per cent and managed just one assist in the game. The player apologised on social media for the performance, saying Norway would target six points in the November international break. Just days ago, the forward entered the history books after his brace in Norway’s 3-0 win over Slovenia helped him become his country’s all-time leading scorer, with 34 goals in just 37 appearances. Haaland has been in fine form for Manchester City, with 10 goals to his name, making him the Premier League’s top scorer. The Manchester City star will return to action for Pep Guardiola’s side on Sunday when they face Wolves in a crucial Premier League clash.
