PSG considering lodging a complaint against Real Madrid with FIFA

Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly considering lodging a complaint against Real Madrid with the Football World Federation FIFA, according to a report by Spain’s newspaper MARCA. The French club believes that its star player, Kylian Mbappé, has already reached an agreement with Real Madrid for a free transfer next year, as he has refused to extend his contract that expires in 2024. It is speculated that the 24-year-old striker could earn around €160 million at Real Madrid Paris Saint-Germain officials are preparing a complaint to FIFA against the Real Madrid administration of Kylian Mbappe. According to the newspaper “Marca”, Paris Saint-Germain is preparing a complaint to “FIFA” against Real Madrid, as a result of the French club’s officials being convinced of the existence of an agreement between Mbappe and Meringue to move to the latter’s ranks, which implicates Real in light of the existence of an effective contract between the player and Paris. With Mbappe refusing to sign a new deal, but also rejecting any approaches to leave on a transfer this summer, PSG is convinced that he has already reached agreement terms with Real Madrid to join them for a free next summer. While generally, it can feel as if all is fair in love and war in the transfer window, FIFA prohibits talking to players and indeed agreeing on deals more than six months in advance of the expiry of their contract. The Telegraph, as per Marca, says that PSG is considering filing that complaint to FIFA. Whether they have grounds to do so, or whether the intention is to apply pressure on Mbappe and Los Blancos to sit down at the negotiation table remains to be seen. FIFA has in the past handed out transfer bans for incompetent behavior. The Spanish newspaper indicated that PSG is currently preparing the complaint form, in preparation for sending it to FIFA. This comes in light of the recent differences between Mbappe and PSG officials, due to the player's earlier statements about the existence of a division within the French club, and then the announcement that his contract with Paris would not be renewed beyond 2024, which prompted Nasser Al-Khulaifi, owner of Paris Club, to choose Mbappe. Either by agreeing to extend his contract or leaving the French club under an appropriate financial offer.
