UEFA to allow up to 9,500 fans for Europa League final in Poland
The European Football Association (UEFA) announced on Monday evening, that UEFA has agreed to allow up to 9,500 spectators for the upcoming Europa League final match slated for May 262020-2021 in the presence of the masses after they were absent during the last period due to the spread of the Corona virus "Covid 19".
The European Union stated, in its statement on its official website, that the final will be held at the Gdansk Stadium in Poland’s Gdansk. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 and the European football’s governing body, UEFA, has decided to allow 25% of the total capacity or about 9,500 fans.
The European Union statement added that the two teams in the final match scheduled for May 26 fans from outside Poland will be allowed in, with UEFA saying each finalist will be allocated 2,000 tickets while 2,000 more will go on sale to the general public.
The UK clubs Manchester United and Arsenal, Roma of Italy and Villarreal of Spain, are competing to qualify for the final match of the Europaleg competition this season.
