UEFA Champions League Final Ball to be auctioned for UNHCR

Adidas announced on Tuesday that the ball used for the UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid will be auctioned after the match with the proceeds going to the UN refugee agency (UNHCR).
The German sportswear company, Adidas, said the white and silver ball will be engraved with the word ‘PEACE’ written on the match ball, directly below the Cyrillic word ‘mir,’ which also means peace will not be offered for sale to the public.
The Champions League final will be played at the Stade de France on 28 May between England’s Liverpool FC and the Spanish champions Real Madrid in Paris, after earlier this year, it was moved from its original location to the Russian city of St. Petersburg due to the Russian-Ukrainian War.
