CAF discusses African championship files
The Confederation of African Football (CAF), chaired by Patrice Motsepe, will hold a virtual Executive Committee meeting on Thursday to discuss several organizational matters related to upcoming continental competitions. The agenda includes preparations for the Ordinary General Assembly scheduled to take place in Nigeria on November 21, as well as the CAF Super Cup, set for November 8 in South Africa, and the Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations, to be hosted by Senegal. The meeting will also address arrangements for the CAF Awards ceremony, scheduled to be held in Lagos, Nigeria, on December 7, which will honor some of the biggest names in African football. The Executive Committee is also expected to discuss updates on the bidding process for hosting the Africa Cup of Nations, in addition to several other tournament-related matters, according to a statement published on CAF's official website.
