Getafe are planning to bring together Ramos and Carvajal
Getafe president Ángel Torres has revealed the club's interest in signing defender Sergio Ramos, a move that could reunite him with his former Real Madrid teammate Dani Carvajal . Speaking on the radio program "Tablero Deportivo" on Radio Nacional de España, Torres said the club has contacted René Ramos, the Spanish defender's brother and agent, to discuss the possibility of a transfer . The Getafe president explained that the idea of signing Ramos has been on the table for some time, but stressed that acquiring two wingers is the team's current priority, given that coach José Bordalás already has six center-backs, effectively covering that position for now . Torres did not rule out a move for the veteran defender during the January transfer window, should the team's needs change and the deal become more suitable . Ramos, 40, has been looking for a new club since leaving Mexican side Monterrey at the end of 2015, having played his last match for the club in December of that year . If the deal goes through, Ramos will reunite with Carvajal, who joined Getafe on a contract until the summer of 2027, after they previously played together at Real Madrid and won several titles, most notably the Champions League.
