Another setback shakes Vinicius' value with Real Madrid

The market value of Real Madrid's Brazilian star Vinicius Junior has dropped to €130 million, according to the latest update from Transfermarkt, a website specializing in evaluating the market value of football players. This is down from €140 million in the previous valuation . Vinicius's decline coincides with his poor start to the 2026-2027 season, further diminishing his career-high market value of €200 million, which he reached in 2024 and 2025. The Brazilian's market value had risen to €150 million in 2022, from €100 million, before continuing its climb to reach the €200 million mark. However, his value has been declining recently . Vinicius currently ranks tenth on the list of the world's most valuable players, while Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland top the list with a value of €220 million each . Vinicius is also surpassed by several of his Real Madrid teammates, most notably Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham, who occupy the third and fifth positions respectively in the list of highest market values . While Vinicius's value has declined, the market value of Ivorian Diomande, who joined Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, has risen again . Diomande's market value has reached €120 million, up from €90 million in the previous valuation, narrowing the gap between him and Vinicius to just €10 million . With Diomande's market value continuing to rise while Vinicius's falls, the Ivorian is close to overtaking the Real Madrid star in the list of highest market values, a feat that could happen in future updates if the current trend continues.
