Harry Kane decides his future with Bayern

Bayern Munich are close to deciding the future of their English striker Harry Kane, after negotiations between the two parties witnessed a new development that brings the England captain closer to signing a new contract with the Bavarian giants. According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich and Harry Kane have reached a preliminary agreement on extending the contract, and negotiations have entered their final stages, with only a few details remaining to be finalized before the official announcement. The Bavarian club aims to extend the English striker's contract until 2029, a move that would secure his continued presence at the Allianz Arena and close the door on major clubs that had been monitoring his situation. Keane’s current contract had attracted the interest of several top European clubs, especially as it neared its end, with reports indicating that Barcelona had been monitoring the player’s situation in preparation for a possible move to sign him. Kane has been having a very special time since his move to Bayern Munich, scoring 73 goals for club and country during the 2025/26 season, confirming his status as one of the most prominent strikers on the world stage. The England captain also contributed to the Three Lions reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup, in addition to winning the Golden Boot award in the German league for the third consecutive season. These figures boost Kane's chances of competing for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, and if he wins it, he will become the first English player to win the award since Michael Owen in 2001.
