Carvajal is close to joining a new club

Veteran Spanish defender Dani Carvajal, the former Real Madrid captain, is close to starting a new chapter in his football career, after entering into advanced negotiations with Getafe, in preparation for joining their ranks in a free transfer deal. According to the Spanish newspaper ABC, negotiations between Carvajal and Getafe are progressing positively, paving the way for the completion of the agreement in the coming period. Carvajal is 34 years old and is currently without a club, after his time with Real Madrid ended at the end of last season. His move to Getafe is contingent on finalizing the details and passing the medical examination. Getafe places great importance on medical examinations before finalizing the signing of Carvajal, especially as the club wants to ensure the Spanish defender's physical condition, specifically the safety of his right knee. Carvajal had suffered a serious injury to the same knee two years ago, before suffering a new setback in the same knee last season, which makes the results of the medical examinations a crucial factor in completing the deal. A potential move to Getafe would represent an important opportunity for Carvajal to continue his career in European stadiums, especially since the team is participating in the Europa League this season. If the negotiations are successful and the player passes the medical examination, Carvajal will return to participate in European competitions through Getafe, after many successful years with Real Madrid, during which he won many championships and titles.
