Cristiano Ronaldo sets Champions League historic record in the EUEFA League

Veteran Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United striker, set a new Champions League historic record in terms of the number of minutes participating in the Champions League, surpassing the number of former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas, as Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League.
Ronaldo appeared in his team's match against Atletico Madrid, in the decisive confrontation between them at the "Old Trafford" stadium, in the second leg of the 16th round of the European Champions League.
According to what was published by the global network "Opta", Cristiano Ronaldo surpassed Iker Casillas as the most played minutes in the history of the Champions League, after the 57th minute of the match, to become the most participating player in history in the tournament.
Cristiano Ronaldo has surpassed Iker Casillas  as the player to have played the most minutes in the Champions League.

Iker Casillas has 15,908 minutes of appearance, surpassing Ronaldo number and becoming the most appearing in the tournament at all.
