Yamal breaks Vinicius' La Liga record
Young Spaniard Lamine Yamal continued to make history with Barcelona, achieving another milestone during their match against Sevilla in the seventh round of La Liga. Barcelona secured a 3-1 victory over their hosts, Sevilla, in a match that saw Yamal shine, providing two assists that contributed to the Catalan team's win. With these two assists, Yamal raised his total assists for Barcelona across all competitions to 51, becoming the youngest player in La Liga history to reach the 50-assist mark since records began. Yamal is 19 years and 68 days old, and achieved this feat after playing 159 matches for Barcelona in all competitions. With this achievement, the Barcelona star broke the previous record held by Brazilian Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid. Vinicius reached his 50th assist for Real Madrid in May 2023, when he was 22 years and 298 days old.
