Barcelona's future status on Messi's return
Spanish press reports revealed that the Argentine football legend and former Barca skipper Lionel Messi wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain and return to Barcelona next season.
The famous Spanish journalist on the TV program "Al Chiringuito", Josep Pedrol, revealed that the player wants to leave PSG, after he was booed by the club’s fans, before and during the Bordeaux match, Sunday, in the French League.
The Spanish journalist, Gerard Romero, had confirmed that Jorge Messi, the father of the Argentine star, contacted Barcelona officials in recent days, and inquired about the possibility of the Argentine returning to the Camp Nou stadium.
But Spanish journalist Tony Juanmarti, who works for the Spanish newspaper "Sport", said: "Today I spoke with those close to Messi and they told me how you think Messi wants to leave Paris! There is no chance that Messi will return to Barcelona this summer!"
Messi had joined PSG on a free transfer last summer, with a contract that extends for two seasons until June 2023, with the possibility of extending the contract for another season.
Messi played 18 matches in the French league this season, scoring two goals and making 10 goals, while he appeared in 7 matches in the Champions League and scored 5 goals.
