A partnership between Benzema and Salah? The Frenchman is on Trabzonspor's radar

Karim Benzema, the Al-Hilal striker, has entered the radar of Turkish club Trabzonspor after being offered the player due to the stalled negotiations with Al-Hilal for the signing of Darwin Núñez. According to Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, negotiations between Trabzonspor and Benzema began following the unexpected offer for the French striker, coinciding with the club's ongoing talks regarding the Núñez deal. Trabzonspor is looking to bolster its attacking options during the transfer window, especially since negotiations with Al-Hilal for Núñez have not yet reached a final agreement, prompting the club to consider Benzema as a potential alternative. The deal takes on added significance given Trabzonspor's recent acquisition of Mohamed Salah, who joined the team on a free transfer and signed a two-year contract starting August 6, 2026, after his contract with Liverpool expired. Should Benzema move to Trabzonspor, the French striker could form a formidable attacking partnership with Salah, a move that would provide the Turkish team with significant attacking experience, should negotiations be successful. Benzema boasts an impressive record of achievements, particularly during his long career with Real Madrid. He also had stints in the Saudi Professional League with Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal before his future became a subject of interest with Trabzonspor's pursuit. Negotiations are still in their early stages, and Trabzonspor's management continues to assess the possibility of signing Benzema, while simultaneously pursuing Darwin Núñez.
