Paris announces the signing of Ajax talent

Paris Saint-Germain officially announced the signing of Belgian midfielder Micah Gudets from Ajax Amsterdam, in a deal that aligns with the club's strategy of acquiring top young talent. Gudets signed a contract with PSG until 2031 and will wear the number 22 jersey. Born on June 7, 2005, in Leuven, Belgium, Gudets began his football career at the Anderlecht academy before moving to Genk in 2020, where he continued to develop and attract attention with his attacking prowess. In January 2023, he transferred to Ajax Amsterdam, starting his journey with the Dutch club's youth teams. During his season and a half there, he made 25 appearances, scoring 9 goals and providing 4 assists, gradually earning his place in the first team. During the 2024-2025 season, Gudets participated in 47 matches across all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists, including 3 assists in the Europa League. The following season was the most outstanding of his career to date, as he contributed to 32 goals in 44 matches, scoring 17 and providing 15 assists, confirming his significant development and establishing himself as one of Ajax's most important attacking players. Gudets also made Ajax history by becoming only the third player at the club since the 2010-2011 season to achieve at least 15 goals and 15 assists in a single season. At the international level, Gudets began representing Belgium at the under-15 level and continued to play for various youth national teams up to the under-19 level. He participated in the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship at the age of 16 and has made 16 appearances for Belgium's youth teams, scoring 2 goals and providing 5 assists. Guedes received his first call-up to the Belgian national team on March 28, and has since made two international appearances. He expressed his delight at joining Paris Saint-Germain, emphasizing that the move to the French club represents a significant step in his career. Following the signing of his contract, he said, "I am incredibly proud to join one of the best clubs in the world.
