Zidane officially takes charge of the French national team

The French Football Federation (FFF) announced on Tuesday the appointment of legendary Zinedine Zidane as the new manager of the French national team, succeeding Didier Deschamps, who left his post after Les Bleus' elimination from the recent World Cup. The FFF confirmed the news via the national team's official social media accounts, announcing the start of a new era under Zidane, whose name has long been linked to the national team. Zidane is scheduled to lead the French team in his first official match during the upcoming international break, facing Turkey on September 25, followed by Belgium on September 28, then Italy on October 2, and concluding the camp with another match against Belgium on October 5, all as part of the UEFA Nations League. This position marks Zidane's first experience managing a national team, following his exceptional success with Real Madrid, where he led the team to three consecutive Champions League titles, in addition to numerous domestic and continental trophies. Zidane had been away from coaching since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, rejecting several offers from different clubs and national teams, waiting to fulfill his dream of taking over the French national team, which was officially achieved with the French Federation announcing his appointment as head coach of "Les Bleus".
