Belaili has escaped

The agreement included settling outstanding financial dues from last season, in addition to extending the contract for a new term with the same financial terms as his previous contract, which expired at the end of June. However, developments took a new turn when the player's father informed Espérance's management on Monday evening that his son had traveled to Algeria and would return to Tunisia on Thursday, without explaining the reasons for this sudden trip. This has only deepened the uncertainty surrounding his future. Meanwhile, Esperance's management began taking precautionary steps in case negotiations faltered, exploring several options to strengthen the wing position, fearing the loss of one of the team's key players before the start of the new season. Speculation intensified after Belaili's presence in Algeria coincided with reports linking him to a possible return to MC Alger, especially after he appeared in a photo with his former Algerian national teammate, Djamel Belamri, who currently serves as the club's spokesperson. This opened the door to further interpretations regarding his next destination, despite the absence of any official announcement from the player or either club.
