A crisis in Vinicius' contract ignites Real Madrid

Negotiations to renew Brazilian Vinicius Junior's contract with Real Madrid are facing a difficult path, given the significant gap between the player's demands and the offer presented by the club's management, particularly regarding financial terms. This threatens to turn the renewal into one of the most prominent issues for the Spanish team this summer . Real Madrid has made renewing Vinicius's contract a priority during the current transfer window, as his current deal expires in the summer of 2027. However, a final agreement has not yet been reached, and a new meeting with the player is expected after his vacation to try and resolve the current impasse . The main obstacle lies in the financial aspect. Real Madrid wants to improve Vinicius's salary in recognition of his role within the team, but it is not willing to agree to all of the Brazilian star's demands. The player currently earns a net salary of approximately €15 million annually, while the club is prepared to raise it to €20 million. However, the biggest point of contention concerns the signing bonus that Vinicius insists on receiving . The Real Madrid winger wants a substantial renewal bonus that would bring his total salary close to that of Frenchman Kylian Mbappé, a demand repeatedly rejected by the club's management. This issue has become the main point of contention between the two parties . Despite the stalled negotiations, Vinicius has repeatedly affirmed his desire to remain at Real Madrid, and club president Florentino Pérez is personally leading the negotiations to reach an agreement that will ensure the Brazilian player stays at the Santiago Bernabéu . However, despite a mutual desire to maintain the relationship, negotiations are currently at a standstill, with everyone waiting to see how things will unfold. Starting next January, Vinicius will be able to negotiate with any club without Real Madrid's consent, and if no agreement is reached, he can leave for free in the summer of 2027 .
