The French forward and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema joined the list of the top 10 scorers in the history of the Spanish League, after scoring a goal in his team's 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad yesterday, in the 27th round of La Liga for the current season 2021-2022.
Benzema scored Real Madrid's third goals against Real Sociedad from a penalty kick, reaching 112 goals in the Spanish League, and becoming the ninth player to score goals in the history of the competition, equal to the previous player Bahinho. Real Madrid enjoyed the perfect preparation for Paris Saint-Germain by thrashing Real Sociedad 4-1 on Saturday to move eight points clear at the top of La Liga.

The Argentine legend, Lionel Messi, the current star of PSG and The former Barcelona star scored 474 goals in 520 La Liga matches in the last 17 years before leaving Spain to join Ligue 1 giants. 
Benzema strengthened his lead in the league's top scorer this season, with 20 goals, 7 goals ahead of his closest competitor.
