Roman Abramovich sets mammoth price Chelsea for sale as looks for way out

English press reports revealed that the Russian owner of Chelsea FC Roman Abramovich made his decision to sell the club during the coming period, as he has put Chelsea on the market and is inviting bids from potential buyers as backlash to his ownership of the club grows on the background of the Russian war against Ukraine, according to reports.
According to the English newspaper, “Telegraph”, Abramovich decided to sell the club, set an amount of 4 billion pounds, in exchange for giving up the ownership of the club during the coming period.
The newspaper added that the amount requested by the owner of the London club is exaggerated at the present time, especially in light of the political pressures he is currently experiencing, and that the offers that will come will not exceed the 2 billion sterling ceiling.
In the same context, Swiss billionaire Hans-Joerg Wiese is considering buying Chelsea from Roman Abramovich, but he wants it to be with his partners, he told the Swiss newspaper, "Bilek".
"As of today, we don't know the exact selling price. I can well imagine starting at Chelsea with partners. But I have to examine the general conditions first, but what I can really say is I certainly wouldn't do something like that alone," said Jörg Wiese.
Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea Football Club, has announced his resignation and assigning the task of managing the club to the trustees of the Chelsea Foundation, against the backdrop of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
