Algerian star Riyad Mahrez is enjoying his best goalscoring season in English football, with his 19 goals one more than he scored in Leicester's seven years ago title winning campaign.
Mahrez scored a goal in Manchester City's victory over Peterborough United in the English Premier League 2-0 on, Tuesday, at London Road Stadium, in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The “Opta” network, which specializes in statistics and records, stated that Mahrez scored 19 goals in all competitions in the current season 2021-2022, including 8 goals in the English Premier League.
Mahrez achieved his best numbers in one season in his football career, one more goal than he scored in the season crowning Leicester with the English Premier League title in the 2015-2016 season.
