Al-Ittihad tempts Mohamed Salah with a historic contract
Reports have revealed that Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad is making a serious move to sign Egyptian star Mohamed Salah during the current summer transfer window, taking advantage of his expiring contract with Liverpool and his free transfer. Al-Ittihad has reportedly offered Salah a lucrative three-year contract with a net annual salary of £65 million. Should the Egyptian captain accept the offer, he would receive approximately £195 million in base salary over the contract's duration, excluding additional revenue from sponsorships, commercial rights, image rights, and various bonuses. This offer comes after a season in which Salah made 41 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists. The report indicates that the total potential financial returns from Salah's contract, including commercial and advertising revenue, could surpass the total value of Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Saudi club Al-Nassr, making it one of the most lucrative contracts in football history.
