Due to the Russian-Ukrainian Crisis: did Russian billionaire Abramovich offer Chelsea FC for sale?

English press reports revealed that the Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea, did not offer the club for sale, despite giving up his control of the Blues. After Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war in a pre-dawn televised address in Ukraine's capital and elsewhere in the country, Abramovich's future in Chelsea suddenly became uncertain amid fear of financial sanctions.
Abramovich announced on Saturday that he was relinquishing "oversight" of the club to the Chelsea Foundation, with the UK government calling for the 55-year-old billionaire's assets to be frozen.
While fans called for Abramovich's statement to be clarified, the “Sun” reported that Abramovich is still the owner of the European Champions, and has no intention of selling the club.
The report adds that Abramovich also does not expect to face any penalties and will continue to help the club fund future transfers if this continues.
Chelsea F.C during the era of the Russian billionaire has collected 19 major titles since taking control of the club in the summer of 2003, and his announcement comes less than 24 hours before the Blues face Liverpool in the 2021-22 European Football Cup final.
