Liverpool fans boo the team

Liverpool fans booed their team's players as their Premier League campaign continued to falter. Liverpool drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Anfield, moving them closer to Champions League qualification as they sit fourth in the table with two games remaining. However, the fans were visibly frustrated with the team's lackluster performance. The boos began at the final whistle, reflecting the fans' anger at the Liverpool players after a disastrous season in which they relinquished the league title despite the club spending around $570 million in the transfer market. Doubts remain about the future of Dutch manager Arne Sloat, who insisted the team would improve next season. The top five teams in the Premier League qualify for the Champions League, and the sixth-placed team could also qualify if Aston Villa win the Europa League and finish outside the top four.
