Ronaldo criticizes complaints in the Saudi League

Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr, delivered a strong message following his team's 2-0 victory over Al-Ahli in the 30th round of the Saudi Professional League. He expressed his frustration with what he described as the atmosphere of controversy and frequent objections within the competition. Ronaldo played a key role in Al-Nassr's crucial win, opening the scoring in the 75th minute, which further solidified the team's position at the top of the standings. After the match, however, the discussion turned to his sharp criticism of recent events in the league. The Portuguese star emphasized that football should remain within the bounds of sporting competition, free from exaggeration and constant tension. He pointed out that the numerous objections and complaints do not serve the image of the league or contribute to its desired development. He also expressed his surprise at some players resorting to criticizing referees or discussing the league on social media, considering such behavior to project a negative image of the sporting project that Saudi Arabia is striving to develop into one of the world's best. The Al-Nassr captain stressed the need to review several organizational and behavioral aspects of the competition, calling for greater cooperation between clubs and the league association to maintain the quality of competition and elevate the overall standard of football. Regarding the match against Al-Ahli, Ronaldo explained that it was a tough and challenging game against one of the league's top teams. He noted that the first half was very close, while Al-Nassr asserted their dominance in the second half and capitalized on their opportunities to secure the victory. The player also spoke about celebrating with the fans while wearing the traditional headdress (agal), emphasizing that he enjoys the atmosphere in Saudi Arabia and that making the fans happy is very important to him, especially since he is accustomed to playing under pressure from large crowds during his career with major European clubs.
