Three managers are candidates to lead Chelsea
Chelsea are intensifying their efforts to find a permanent manager to lead the team in the coming period, following the departure of former manager Liam Rosenior. The club's management has begun contacting a number of prominent names to select the most suitable candidate. The initial list of candidates includes Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva, and Xabi Alonso, with expectations that they may become available by the end of the current season. Iraola has already announced his departure from Bournemouth, while Silva's future with Fulham remains undecided, and Alonso is currently without a club after leaving Real Madrid. The club's management plans to contact the representatives of these managers and others to ascertain their future plans and their readiness for a new coaching challenge. This will help narrow down the choices before a final decision is made. It is worth noting that Iraola and Alonso share the same agent, which could play a role in the course of negotiations. This process is being managed by the club's sporting directors, who will then submit their recommendations to the owners for the final decision. Callum McFarlane is currently serving as interim manager. According to reports, Chelsea intends to change its recent approach to selecting coaches and move towards hiring a name with extensive experience at the highest levels, especially since some of the current candidates have previous experience in the English Premier League and major European clubs, which gives them an advantage in the race to take over the job.
