Al-Nasr achieves an unprecedented winning streak
Al-Nassr continued to make history in the Saudi Professional League, achieving its longest winning streak in the competition's history since its inception in 2008, after defeating Al-Akhdoud 2-0 in the 28th round. The two goals for "Al-Aalami" (The Global) were scored by Portuguese stars Cristiano Ronaldo and João Félix in the 15th and 47th minutes, respectively. Since their 3-1 loss to Al-Hilal last January, Al-Nassr has not tasted defeat, securing 14 consecutive victories in an exceptional run that has confirmed their recent dominance. This streak has included wins against several teams, most notably Al-Najma (twice), Al-Shabab, Al-Ittihad, Al-Taawoun, Al-Fateh, Al-Fayha, and Al-Khaleej, in addition to Al-Akhdoud, thus breaking their previous record of 13 consecutive wins in the 2013-2014 season. Al-Nassr also surpassed a similar streak by its rival Al-Hilal, which extended between September 2025 and January 2026, but it is still far from the historic record registered in the name of “Al-Za’eem”, which was achieved between September 2023 and May 2024. With only 6 rounds remaining until the end of the season, the task of equaling this record seems difficult, but Al-Nassr has a chance to continue its march towards the top if it continues with the same momentum at the start of the next season.
