Liverpool are planning a successor to Mohamed Salah

Liverpool have begun outlining their plan to replace Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, following confirmation that he will leave the club at the end of the season . The Reds face a difficult task in replacing one of the greatest players in the club's history, especially given Salah's remarkable statistics since joining Anfield in 2017, where he has scored over 250 goals for the team . Despite being linked with several high-profile names in the transfer market, Liverpool are not planning to sign a player directly comparable to Salah, with sources indicating that this is "virtually impossible" at present . Among the names mentioned are Frenchman Michael Ullis, Yann Diomande, and Portuguese Francisco Conceição. However, interest in Conceição has diminished within the club, and a deal for Ullis appears unlikely given Bayern Munich's determination to retain his services . Instead, Liverpool are focusing on internal solutions, working to utilize the potential of their current attacking players under manager Arne Slott, particularly after the significant signings the team made last summer . The team includes players like Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, and Hugo Ekiteke, and there's a growing belief that this trio can collectively compensate for Salah's absence rather than relying on a single player . Ekiteke has been performing exceptionally well this season, topping the team's scoring charts, while Isak is nearing a return after a long injury layoff . There are also indications that Liverpool might change their attacking approach by signing a winger with different attributes to support Isak, rather than searching for a direct replacement for Mohamed Salah in attack.
