Barcelona are reportedly out of the running to sign Juventus’s Matthijs de Ligt, focusing on Napoli star

During the upcoming summer transfer market, Barcelona seeks to strengthen its defensive lines by signing two defenders, to solve the crisis that the team is experiencing during the current season, which made it receive a large number of goals.
La Gazzetta dello Sport ,the Italian daily newspaper dedicated to coverage of various sports stated that Barcelona reportedly want to bring Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly to the Camp Nou during the next summer Mercato. Koulibaly’s contract expires in the summer of 2023.
The newspaper added that Barca wanted to sign the Dutchman Matthias de Ligt from Juventus, but the money conditions requested by the Juve administration, made Barcelona officials focus on contracting with Coulibaly. The newspaper pointed out that the Naples defender would be financially suitable for the Catalan club, especially with the approaching end of his contract with his club, which made Barcelona settle on Coulibaly, after it was difficult to include both De Ligt from Juventus or Conde, the defender of Seville, because of their high price.
Manchester City had tried to sign the Senegalese defender last summer for 60 million euros, but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis asked for 80 million euros, in exchange for Coulibaly's exit.
