Former Barcelona star a candidate to coach Real Madrid
Spanish media reports have revealed that young Spanish coach Cesc Fàbregas, manager of Italian club Como, has entered Real Madrid's radar as a potential candidate to take over the team next season. According to analyst Jorge Pecón on the "El Desmarque" program, Fàbregas has recently caught the eye of Real Madrid officials after his impressive performances with Como in Serie A. Real Madrid officials appreciate Fàbregas's work ethic within the team, his communication skills with the players, and his tactical management of matches, making him a serious contender for the managerial position starting next season. Despite Fàbregas's commitment to an ambitious project with Como, where he has led the team to impressive results, currently sitting fourth in the Serie A standings alongside Roma, an offer from Real Madrid might be one of the few that could persuade him to leave the club. In a short period of just two years, Fabregas successfully led Como from Serie B to competing for Champions League qualification, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia where they will face Inter Milan. Fabregas, 38, began his playing career at Barcelona's academy before playing for several major clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Monaco. He retired from playing in 2023 while with Como and immediately moved into coaching.
