Doha to host the first Gulf Cup in mini-football
Doha, the capital of Qatar, will host the inaugural Gulf Cup Mini-Football Championship, which will take place from April 1st to 5th, 2026, under the auspices of the International Mini-Football Federation (IMF). Organizers have announced the participation of all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in the tournament, which represents a significant milestone in strengthening Gulf sports cooperation and providing a new competitive platform that will contribute to supporting mini-football and raising its regional profile. The tournament draw ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at the Al Aziziyah Boutique Hotel within Aspire Zone Foundation, which will host the matches on its state-of-the-art pitches. Aspire Zone is renowned for its advanced organizational capabilities and integrated sports facilities, which enhances the likelihood of a highly successful event. For his part, Mohammed Al-Mohannadi, a player on the Qatari national team and the tournament's general manager, affirmed that Qatar continues to solidify its position as a global destination for hosting major sporting events. He praised Aspire Zone Foundation for its role in supporting the tournament and for the swift and highly professional execution of the organizational arrangements.
