Inter's shocking defeat in the Champions League play-offs

Inter Milan suffered a shock 3-1 defeat to Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in the first leg of their Champions League playoff tie at the Stadion Asprimár on Wednesday night. The home side started strongly, with Sønder Brønstad Vit opening the scoring in the 20th minute, capitalizing on a defensive mix-up in the Nerazzurri penalty area. Inter responded quickly through Pio Esposito, who equalized in the 30th minute, making it 1-1 at halftime. In the second half, Bodø/Glimt imposed their will on the Norwegians, with Jens Petter Hauge adding a second goal in the 61st minute. Kasper Hauge then sealed the victory just three minutes later, sending the home side into raptures. Bodø/Glimt's fast-paced attacking style and disciplined tactical organization made them a formidable opponent, exploiting the spaces behind Inter's defense to secure a valuable away win and a significant advantage ahead of the second leg in Italy. Inter Milan now need a strong response in the return leg if they want to avoid an early exit from the continental competition, while Bodø/Glimt have a moral advantage and a comfortable result that brings them closer to snatching a ticket to the round of 16.
