A new crisis between Allegri and Fabregas ignites Serie A

Tensions between Massimiliano Allegri and Cesc Fabregas have flared up again following a new altercation in the press conference room after the AC Milan coach was sent off during his team's 1-1 draw against Como at the San Siro. The incident occurred after Fabregas, the Como manager, apologized for what he described as "unsportsmanlike conduct" during the match . The relationship between the two coaches had already been strained when Milan defeated Como 3-1 on January 15th, a match many considered to have been decided against the run of play. The tense atmosphere reignited in the second leg when Fabregas appeared to reach beyond the touchline, either to grab Milan's Alexis Saelemaekers by the shirt or to push him while play continued . The Milan winger reacted angrily, prompting a member of Como's staff to intervene. The situation then escalated into a heated verbal exchange between Fabregas and Allegri near the bench. Neither the referee nor his assistants initially saw the incident, but the final decision resulted in a red card for Allegri and a member of Como's coaching staff . Fabregas quickly issued a public apology in television interviews and at the press conference, insisting it was "just a touch" but admitting his own reaction was wrong . The Spanish coach said, "I apologize. Allegri's reaction was excessive, but I admit I shouldn't have done it. It was unsportsmanlike, and as Cristian Chivu recently said, we should keep our hands to ourselves, especially when we're coaches. I would have been angry too in that situation, and all I can do is apologize and say I hope this never happens again in my career." Italian media reports revealed that the tension didn't end there. Sky Sport Italia reported that Allegri, on his way to his press conference, encountered Fabregas away from the cameras, where the two exchanged heated words, a further indication of the escalating conflict between the two coaches.
